Meet Freely I was freely blessed with a wonderful Golden named
Freely.
She came to me well equipped with love, beauty and basic training by a Guide Dog puppy
raiser after being career changed. Freely is now in training to be my Service Dog.
Every day I am in awe of how miraculously my life is forever changed with Freely at my
side every step of the way. We are owner-training with the assistance of an experienced
Service Dog Trainer. Daily life with Freely not only helps me to see new hope in life, but
the partnership we are building is a wonderful tool for my life. How did I live before
Freely? I have no idea! Freely provides all sorts of assistance already, from retrieving dropped and low items to
being at my side every step of every day...allowing me to more freely move through life.
She came to me with her name and one that I believe is a sign for our new found lives!
Recently, Freely provided life-saving assistance. I'd been quite sick and needed to spend
days on the sofa in the living room. After a couple of days of the routine, Freely had it
down. She helped me tote my pillows and hers to the living room. Then she eagerly ran to
me as I was dragging my comforter to the sofa, went to the end and picked it up to help
just as if it was the train of a wedding veil! I was feeling so weak that the help was
such a relief and the precious moment of seeing her as such a faithful, loving assistant,
sensing my need, brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face.
Within three hours I had fallen asleep on the sofa. Freely woke me up. Like clockwork I
attached her leash to take her out, but she was pulling away from me, away from the door.
I couldn't understand what she was doing! I said "Come" but she wouldn't.
Finally exhausted, I let go of her leash to regain some strength and she tore into the
kitchen and then back out to me. Again she RAN to the kitchen, and then I smelled it! I
had earlier put on some pasta, forgot to set the timer, sat down, and fell asleep. The
water had totally boiled away and the pasta had burnt onto the pan, smoke starting to pour
from it. I am so blessed with my Golden Freely, the Golden Delight of my life!
