Meet Trina
A foster puppy for Paws With A Cause®, Trina, who is shown here, is seven months old [January 2000] in this photo. Born into the breeding program, Pat and Jerry Dolowy were very lucky. They got to whelp the litter at their home in Michigan. They watched Trina and her six siblings turn into rolling, happy little pups before they left for their puppyraiser's homes at the age of eight weeks.

Paws With A Cause® trains Assistance Dogs and also Hearing Dogs. As foster puppyraisers, it is Pat and Jerry's job to socialize and teach Trina basic obedience skills.

Here is a wonderful, Golden ending to Trina's story. Trina is now a service dog for a wonderful woman in Texas with Post Polio Syndrome. She will be an extension of her partner, hopefully keeping her from overuse and letting her muscles work for her a bit longer! Pat tells us that Trina's partner is just the greatest lady, certainly understanding how much she still loves Trina. How thankful Pat is for her willingness to share Trina via email and current photos such as this one.
