Online or via pickup, we provide organic, eco-friendly, and chemical-free products, plus items to beautify your home and spirit. As a small volunteer-run nonprofit, we can't compete with the pricing at large stores. However, having no paid staff allows all our net proceeds to fund cancer research and  treatment for working dogs. Sit, stay & shop for what truly matters — health, home, happiness and healing.

We believe that health issues arise from all of the preservatives, sugars, heavy processing and harmful insecticides and chemical fertilizers in foods. At the Land of PureGold we only carry those treats that we would allow our own dogs to eat. Everything must be human-quality and for proteins, organic or free-range.

For that reason, the cost may be somewhat higher. But, honestly, we believe our furkids are more than worth it. They have such a limited life span with us as it is, so we figure it is the least we can do to try and extend it by providing only the best.

For her meat treats, Aunt Jeni only uses ingredients sourced from the USA, graded for human consumption (except for trachea), non-medicated (no growth hormones or antibiotics), USDA inspected, and humanely raised and killed. She uses the same brands of domestic poultry carried by Whole Foods Markets. Aunt Jeni's treats are single ingredient, high in protein, and do not contain any additives or preservatives.

Aunt Jeni's Home Made has a privately owned FDA-registered, inspected and approved state-of-the-art facility. Using highly sophisticated, custom built equipment, every facet of production is closely controlled. Boniface is adamant that none of their diets or treats is ever contracted out (known as "co-packing"). "We've always been very proud of that fact, and it's become even more important in the wake of the recent pet food recalls. There is truly no other pet food facility like ours, anywhere!" Jennifer Bonfiace (aka Aunt Jeni) received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Maryland in Animal Science. After her undergraduate education, Jennifer worked at the USDA for a number of years before going back to school to become a CPA. Years later she realized that her true passion was in animals and went back to Graduate School to study Animal Nutrition and studied at the National Zoo, working with Maned Wolves.

Aunt Jeni's Dehydrated Chicken Feet OUT OF STOCK
Yes, we know. These Chicken Feet do look scary. And, we know you are worrying whether it is it really okay for your dogs to eat them. But, truly, while their looks are a bit off-putting to us human folk, dogs of all sizes love these and crunch them up with glee. When we give Golden Alfie one in the kitchen, he immediately takes it and leaves for another room where he can privately enjoy his spoils. The crunching noises are hysterical.

For this treat, Aunt Jeni uses poultry from Bell and Evans, of Fredericksburg, PA. "The Excellent Chicken" is all-natural, minimally processed, no artificial ingredients, no antibiotics administered, and is fed an all vegetable diet containing no preservatives and no animal by-products.
