 Stephen
Huneck (10/8/1948 - 1/7/2010) is an internationally-acclaimed and
much-collected Vermont artist, sculptor & children’s
book writer and illustrator, whose playful hand-carved
furniture, sculpture and whimsical woodcut prints
celebrate the human-canine bond. A self-taught sculptor
and wood-carver, Stephen loves the texture that
you can only get by hand. He has a collection of tools
consisting of over 150 chisels, 30 hand planes and axes,
carving almost everyday of the year.
When Stephen does
take time off, it is to walk with his Labs, Golden &
Dalmatian. After a near death experience in 1994, Stephen
had a vision to build a Dog Chapel. "A place where
people can go and celebrate the spiritual bond they have
with their dogs," it is now the largest, and most
personal, artwork of his life.

Limits Cap
This
100% washed brushed black cotton twill cap is the softest and most
comfortable one we own. It has an embroidered Retriever angel
detailed on the front, and "dream without limits" message, embroidered on the back.

Stephen Huneck Small and Large Giclée
Prints
Stephen's original woodcuts
are offered via his Giclée Prints, currently only
available as part of an Open Edition (Stephen's signature embedded in print) series (a copy of Stephen's signature
embedded in the print). Giclée is
the foremost method of reproduction available today. The
woodcut
is digitally captured and then reproduced on a
sophisticated printer that offers a greater resolution than
is normally achievable. The ink and paper are archival and will last for 200
years before any fading will occur. Printed on 100%
cotton rag acid-free fine art paper using archival
pigmented based inks, the ultra-fine density of the ink
droplets allow for superior saturation, dynamic color,
and thorough penetration into the surface. Due to this
advancement in printing, many are unable to tell the difference between
the original and the Giclée.
Stephen Huneck original prints may be purchased either framed or unframed. All Giclée Prints are part of an Open Edition series,
Stephen's signature embedded in the print.
  The
majority of Stephen's work features Labrador Retrievers,
his pieces typically available in multiple options to
please Black, Yellow and Chocolate Lab parents. Stephen
Huneck also provides Golden Retriever prints in both
Yellow-Gold and Red-Gold variations. With there being
hundreds of prints, we have only presented one coloring
option below. But, be assured that the print is
available in multiple breed colors.
While there are far more Lab prints, we find that the
Yellow Lab depictions are quite similar to the Golden
art given its whimsical nature. So, you Golden lovers,
