The Wiggles Wags and Whiskers Freedom No-Pull Harness
Deluxe is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling
while walking on a leash. It is
designed to walk from the back of the dog keeping their spinal cords in
alignment.
It is 100% Made in
the USA, easy to put on and take off, comfortable given its luxurious Swiss Velvet lined chest strap, very durable, and washable.
And, it can be used with puppies, adults, and seniors.
The Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness is
endorsed worldwide by Trainers, Vets, Adoption Groups, and most recently
seen on the hit training show It's Me or the Dog, by Victoria Stilwell,
on Animal Planet.
We couldn't imagine walking a dog without
it. Unlike traditional collars, this harness never causes
coughing, gagging, or choking because the chest strap rests low across the
breastbone, not on the delicate tracheal area. When your dog pulls on the leash,
he will be guided back towards you which will naturally and gently discourage
him/her from pulling.
Traditional harnesses can actually encourage dogs to pull harder because of the
“opposition reflex.” That’s the reflex that makes sled dogs do what they do.
This
harness redirects the pressure through the front leash
attachment. And, the martingale closure tightens slightly across
the chest and shoulder blades when your dog attempts to pull forward.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a martingale loop on the back of it that tightens gently
around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling as well as a front loop for
ultimate control.
Constructed of industrial strength nylon
webbing, solid stainless
steel hardware, and reinforced X- stitching, you have the
security of knowing it will
stand up to daily use by even the strongest dogs.
There is also a Chewing Warranty,
the company replacing up to two chewed
straps for free, no questions asked, for just the cost of shipping. Of
course, there NEVER EVER should be need for another harness except for growing
puppies or major change in weight. Leashes and harnesses are used only with YOU
in attendance. Once a dog comes back home, all should be removed and hung up and
away.
We offer the complete Freedom No-Pull Harness
Deluxe Training Package. This includes the no-pull harness and a
2-ended leash to make training your dog easier.
The leash is 5/8" wide for smaller sizes and 1" wide for the larger
sizes. It is 3.5 feet long when you use the dual connection, or 5 feet long
when you use the single connection and connect the other end to the handle.
Is this
harness really the best of the bunch? We had used the Premier Easy Walk Harness for many years. We found
it the easiest to use of those on the market and found it to be an important
tool. However, it didn't seem to change at all in response to concerns over
wear, comfort, and ultimately control. That is why we have switched to this
newer harness. The velvet comfort and double control points definitely swayed
us. And, we love the fit! Of course, we had to have it in the color Tan,
which actually is a gold-ish tone and looks fabulous on Golden Retrievers.
Even Dr. Marty Becker is impressed (and that is a true achievement given
all the products he evaluates). The Freedom No Pull Harness made it to
his top 30 pet products of 2011!

Patented
Action Loop tightens gently around your
dog’s chest, in order to
discourage pulling.
The Tensioning Loop ―
The patented tensioning loop located behind the dog's neck on the FREEDOM
No-Pull Harness is designed to gently tighten around the dog's chest as the dog
pulls. The harness does not work from creating pain instead the harness works
with the dog in a very natural manner. As the dog pulls the harness tightens
around the structure of the dog. When the dog stops pulling the harness provides
immediate positive feedback by releasing the slight tension. The loop on the
harness will not hurt or injure the dog as it has a limitation on how much it
can tighten.
Loop Location ― The loop was designed and placed at
the base or scruff of the dog's neck as this is the dog's center of gravity.
This is why a mother dog picks up her pups from the scruff. It is easier to
control from the center of gravity rather than an extremity like the neck. You
can literally lift your dog up by the loop of the harness without hurting them.
This situation is not possible with a neck collar. When the dog is pulling
forward the harness lifts the dog slightly off of their feet minimizing their
over all strength and power and allowing you to gain more control.
Removing Pressure from the Neck ― The harness is designed so that the front straps are located below the neck area
minimizing the possibility of many common neck, trachea, spinal cord and optical
injuries associated with pulling/tugging on a collar. Additionally, the harness
is found to be helpful assisting dogs with amputations or arthritis.
Why the Harness Works ― Most harnesses allow a dog to pull harder because they distribute the pressure.
The Freedom Harness is different because the loop located on the back gently
tightens as the dog pulls. The slight pressure allows you to control the dog
easier while simultaneously giving the dog a physical cue. The tightening is
only slight so it does not cause injury to the tendons or back. The patented action loop sits at the back of the dog
between the shoulders allowing your dog to walk in a straight line
without twisting or straining, while
discouraging pulling by tightening gently around the chest.
Double Ended Training Leash ―
The training leash included in the deluxe training
package allows you to connect to the front and
back of the harness simultaneously,
allowing you to steer your dog, much like
using the reins on a horse, and redirect his attention back to you,
while using the tightening connection on the back to discourage pulling.
You are controlling the entire structure of the dog instead of a single
point, thus maximizing control.
No-Pull Freedom Harness has Best
Features in the Industry
Construction
―Stainless steel hardware
and heavy duty nylon webbing sewn using industrial X-stitch
machines, our harness will keep your dog in
check, whether he is 14 lbs or 250+ lbs.
Design and Comfort― Comfort Conscious
design with edges of webbing turned out to keep them from irritating dog’s skin.Luxurious Swiss Velvet Lining
on the chest strap that goes behind the legs
helps prevent rubbing, chaffing and sores that are sometimes
seen with other harness designs.
Multi-Functional Training Leash―
Features clip on either end & floating handle. The (2)
clips allow you to: 1. Simultaneously connect to the front
& back of the harness. This is the
ultimate in control as it controls the entire body of the dog similar to reigns
on a horse. (or) 2. You can connect both clips to just the back of the harness,
so creating a 3' long leash. (or) 3.You can extend the clip all the way out and create a
5' long leash. (or) 4. You can connect to the back of the harness and a collar for head and body
control.
Adjustability― Four points of
adjustability allows harness to be adjusted to fit literally any dog body shape or type. To select the correct harness size, measure the circumference of your dog's chest by
using a tailor's tape measure or if you don't have one, a piece of string
or ribbon. Mark the measurement around the chest and then measure the string.
Make sure you place the tape measure/string all
the way around the chest (rib cage), behind the front legs. The tape measure
should be flat to the dog, not pulled tight, but not loose. Select a size that
is closest to the middle range of the harness. For example, if your dog's chest
is 28" you would want the large harness (26"-32") rather than the medium
(22"-28"). Selecting the size closest to the middle will allow maximum
adjustability and comfort for you dog.
NOTE: Your dog may seem to fall between sizes, what we call a "tweener".
In those instances, it may be better to go with the smaller of the two
sizes as having a harness be too large nullifies its usefulness.

A Little Hard Work Never Hurt Anyone Like all leashes and harnesses, the Freedom No-Pull Harness
should be used as an aid for training, and can make training easier on you
and your dog. BUT, it does not take the place of actual training, which has
many benefits, including fostering a stronger bond with your dog. We
recommend finding a qualified trainer in your area who can help you work
with your dog using positive training techniques. For more info and to find
a trainer in your area, contact the

(ADPT) at 1-800-PET-DOGS.

Fitting your Freedom No-Pull Harness
STEP 1 ― Unbuckle the harness.
Slip it over the
dog's head with the contrasting loop on top.
STEP 2 ― Bring the velvet strap up
between the
dog's front legs. Then, snap the buckles closed
on both sides.
STEP 3 ―
Adjust (tighten the harness around
the
chest (both left & right side equally).
Then across the front of the chest,
and finally between the front legs.
Using the Freedom No-Pull Harness Proper fit is essential to proper control. The harness
should fit securely around the chest of the dog. Tighten the harness by
pushing the webbing up through the metal slide bar then pulling it down
through the other side of the slide bar. The harness should be tightened
to allow for 2 fingers to fit under each strap. As every situation is
different, adjust the harness accordingly.
Attach the lead to the ring located on the control loop (the control
loop is the "different colored loop on top of the harness"). When the
dog pulls forward the control loop will tighten the harness around your
dog’s chest. This “hugging” action will bring the dog’s attention to
their pulling. Additionally, should the dog try to back out of the
harness, the harness will tighten around their body to inhibit escape.
Personality, body type, breed, etc. will all play a role in how your dog
will respond to any training device. While no product can guarantee how
your dog will behave, the Freedom Harness can help you teach your dog
in a positively reinforced way. For the correction of specific
behavioral concerns, please be sure to consult with your local trainer.
To find a trainer in your area, contact the Association of Pet Dog Trainers
(ADPT) at 1-800-PET-DOGS.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling
while walking on a leash. And, it’s easy to use, requiring virtually no
acclimation period or specialized training. If your dog forges ahead of you,
gently pull the leash to the side to turn the dog towards you. As he stops
pulling, be sure to release the tension on the leash. Use praise and reward your
dog with treats and/or petting. To slow your dog when he is pulling ahead, apply
gentle pressure to the leash, pulling gently toward one side of the dog. Release
the pressure on the leash when the dog is walking nicely next to you.
We do NOT recommend using the Freedom No-Pull Harness with a
retractable leash. With a retractable leash, the dog is “rewarded” with
additional leash when he pulls ahead. We want your dog to learn to NOT pull
ahead. In addition, a retractable leash will always apply a slight constant
pressure, teaching your dog it is okay to continue pulling. Please remember to
check the fit regularly, especially on growing dogs. And, DO NOT leave the harness
on your dog unattended.
